![]() But the river god hasn’t spoken her name yet-and if he hasn’t by now, there’s a chance he never will.Ĭaro decides to take her future into her own hands when her father is arrested for refusing to transport a mysterious crate. At seventeen, Caro has spent years listening to the water, ready to meet her fate. ![]() For generations, her family has been called by the river god, who has guided their wherries on countless voyages throughout the Riverlands. Synopsis: Caroline Oresteia is destined for the river. I’ve never thought twice about reading this, but seeing that it’s a debut has almost swayed my decision to remove it from my Goodreads (I want to do a series about debut books). Also, If you couldn’t tell by now, I never actually got around to reading any of them. What’s even funnier is the fact that I thought it was about mermaids because of the title, but it absolutely isn’t. This was definitely added to my ‘want to read’ shelf during my mermaid phase. ![]() These posts are pretty fun to write though, I love going through my shelves. I think I might start posting these a bit more often as it’s going to take literal years for me to get through my shelves otherwise. ![]()
